I've made five trips to Bandhavgarh National Park. Once with Niyati as part of our 3 month trip in 2005. One with my cousins and uncle in December of 2006. And once again with my good friends Brian, Korin, Raja, and Sangeetha in April of 2007. All trips were outstanding for different reasons. The first trip were my first ever tiger sightings, and we were lucky enough to see two mating. On the second trip, we spent 4 hours with a tigress hunting via elephant back. We even saw a leopard and saw our tigress chase after it. On the 3rd trip, we saw tigers constantly, sometimes very close, sometimes as the only jeep, and on full day elephant rides as well. On the fourth trip, I went with my friends Kush, Priya, and Jay. We had more good sightings including a private viewings with B2, a pregnant female for 90 minutes from elephant, and the first glimpses of 3 4 month old cubs. On the 5th trip, I went with my cousing Aditi, Shuchi, Mihir, and Chanakya. We had a fantastic time although this was the toughest time I've ever had seeing tigers in Bandhavgarh. Luckily we had fantastic hosts at Anant Van and the trip was much more than about seeing big game.
