Our one week in Cambodia was entirely spent in Siem Riep, with day trips into the Angkor City, as well as to temple complexes much further out. We made numerous trips in to see Angkor Wat and other temples such as Bayon and Ta Prohm, trying to catch them at different times of the day for differnet lighting and to avoid the tourist throngs. We also made a long day trip out to see Bantey Srei a smaller, but more ornate temple, as well as Beng Melea, the most unexcavated of them all, only open for about 1 year, as the danger of landmines was too great before. We also visited a floating village, where all activity and life occurs on a lake, and enjoyed a few walks through the villages around Siem Riep
