I've made 2 trips to Kanha. First in May of 2006 alone and then again in December of 2008 with Niyati, my uncle, and my two cousins. The first trip, being May I was expected to see a lot more than we did. Tigers were a horrible struggle and leopards, dogs, and bear were nowhere to be seen. But I was impressed with Kanha's meadows and great herbivore variety such as Gaur and Barisingha that are difficult to see elsewhere. On our second trip, we went by elephant and even on night drives. The herbivores were much less this time and I still didn't see my bear, but watching a tiger walk towards us on the path for 10 minutes and seeing him again by night was a thrill. Had a blast being there with my family as well.
