In September of 2007, I made two trips into the Nilghiri Biosphere region of South India. Firstly a weekend with my friend and master photographer Jayanth Sharma to the Munnar region in Kerala to visit Eravikulam and Chinnar National Parks. Two weeks later, I went with Niyati and her brother Himesh for a night in Bandipur and two days in Mudumulai, where we were fortunate enough to see the puja performed by the elephants on Ganesh Chaturthi.
